MEASURING GUIDE FOR CHAP
Body measurements for leather chaps are taken directly over jeans or fitted pants. Finished garment measurements may include slight extra room in the waist, thigh, and calf areas for comfortable movement and layering, while the inseam length is usually kept the same as the body measurement.
Please Note:
Waist: Measure around the waist where you normally wear your belt. For chaps, the finished garment waist is usually 1–2 inches larger than the body measurement for adjustable and comfortable fitting.
Thigh: Measure around the fullest part of your thigh (usually just below the crotch). Garment measurement is kept 1–2 inches larger for easy movement.
Knee: Measure around the knee area while standing straight. The garment usually includes about 1 inch extra room for comfort when bending.
Calf: Measure around the widest part of your calf over jeans or riding pants. The garment is kept around 1 inch larger for easy fit over boots and layers.
Inseam (Length): Measure from the crotch down to the bottom of the ankle where you want the chap to end. The garment length is usually kept the same as body measurement.
Note: All body measurements should be taken over fitted jeans or riding pants. Leather chaps are designed to be worn over clothing, so slight extra room is added for comfort, movement, and layering
